At Ocean Equine Training LLC, we offer horseback riding lessons in multiple disciplines with a horse-first, confidence based approach. Speak with Rachel if you have interest in a specific discipline.
We offer lessons for riders starting at age 5 for riding lessons and 3 years for Pony Pals lessons. Coach Rachel may recommend training first if she deems horse/rider pairs unsuitable for lessons.
We recommend wearing long pants, boots with a heel (sneakers are okay for trial lessons), and a comfortable shirt. It's also important to have an approved riding helmet, which we can provide if needed. Layers to take on/off, a hair tie, and a water bottle are also encouraged.
Your instructor will reach out to you with cancellations for poor or extreme weather conditions and will work with you to reschedule for a nicer day.
Students are encouraged to arrive up to 15 minutes early for their lesson. Please use this time to finish getting ready for your lesson - have your horse ready, water out, weather appropriate clothes and shoes on, and hair able to fit comfortably under your helmet.
Payment is accepted in cash or Paypal with +$5 per lesson or package purchased. Payment is due at the time of lesson or first lesson in your package.
